Abia World Water Day 2021

Haske World Water Day Outreach 2021

World Water Day is a global day set aside to deliberate on water, it’s importance and how to solve water problems.

The 2021 event took place on the 22nd March, 2021.
This year’s theme is Valuing Water

We at Haske Water Aid and Empowerment Foundation implemented World Water Day by reaching out to primary school pupils in schools across Nigeria.

We successfully mobilized over 50 young persons who volunteered online and offline to implement this global outreach in primary schools in 12 states in Nigeria.

The Projects Objectives

The objectives of the outreach was to teach the children in line with the theme Valuing Water:
1. How to Save water
2. The value of water in health and hygiene (especially COVID19)
3. How to wash hand and cultivate the habit of hand washing.

The hand wash was demonstrated to them (washing in a runny water as recommended by WHO).

At the end we donated hand wash materials to the school. Items donated include:

  1. WASH facilities
  2. Hand wash
  3. Hand Sanitizers
  4. Hand towels
  5. Tissues
  6. Waste bin
  7. Liquid soaps
  8. Detergents
  9. Bar soaps
  10. Nose masks
